Are you a structured and operational kitchen manager who enjoys both professional responsibility and administrative tasks?
Furukroa is looking for a professional and committed chef who combines solid culinary expertise with clear leadership and a good understanding of systems. We are looking for someone who creates structure, ensures compliance with routines and regulations, and who leads through active participation in daily operations.
This is a key management position with overall responsibility for the kitchen's professional, financial and operational results. The size of the kitchen team varies depending on the season, from approximately 5 to 15 people.

Have solid experience as a chef or sous chef with leadership responsibilities
Is confident in professional and operational kitchen management
Is structured and able to build good systems in daily operations
Have a good understanding of finances, including cost control and calculation
Has experience with budget monitoring and profitability management
Have good knowledge of IK food and HSE
Is clear about delegation, training and team development
Creates a positive, respectful and structured work environment
Maintains overview and control during hectic and seasonal periods
Communicates clearly and collaborates well across departments
Speaks and writes a Scandinavian language in addition to English
Your main areas of responsibility
Professional and operational management
Overall responsibility for daily operations of the kitchen
Ensure consistent and high quality of food and presentation
Actively hire in production and service
Develop menus in line with concept and profitability
Finance and inventory control
Budget responsibility and control of cost of goods sold
Calculation of rights and pricing
Ordering goods, supplier follow-up and stock control
Reduce waste and ensure good inventory and ordering routines
Internal control and compliance (IK-mat and HSE)
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations within IC food
Maintain and further develop internal control system
Ensure safe working conditions in line with HSE requirements
Ensure correct documentation and follow-up
Team management and work environment
Delegate tasks and follow up on implementation
Training, guidance and development of the kitchen team
Create a structured and respectful work culture
Ensure clear routines and effective systems in daily operations

Residence
We offer staff housing for our team members, which makes it easy to get established in Flåm and quickly get into position.
Rent is deducted directly from salary and includes electricity, internet, and bedding, which provides predictability and easy financial overview.

We are a locally owned tourism group based in Flåm and Aurland. The group includes, among other things, Flåmsbrygga Hotel – a rustic fjord hotel with conference facilities; Ægir BreweryPub; Flåmstova Restaurant and Furukroa Café.
