Our infection control measures
Flåmsbrygga puts the safety of guests and employees first, and follows the Norwegian Institute of Public Health's guidelines for infection control. It must be safe to stay, eat and drink with us. To minimize the risk of spreading the coronavirus, we have implemented a number of measures and we are closely monitoring developments and updating our routines according to the health authorities' recommendations.
Cleanliness and hygiene are always a high priority in our company. We have strict hand hygiene routines for our employees and have a strong focus on cleaning and disinfection in light of the current situation. We also encourage our guests to wash their hands frequently with soap and warm water.
Our initiatives:
All of our employees have been instructed in how best to prevent infection and how best to avoid infection.
Disinfectant containing alcohol (Purell antibac) is available in all common areas.
We have stopped using disinfectants that contain alcohol (Purell antibac).
Increase focus on hand hygiene.
Tighter routines for cleaning and hygiene.
Guest registration via QR code for possible infection tracking.
We avoid hand holding and squeezing.

Regular cleaning of common areas such as café, pub and restaurant areas, toilets, reception, elevator, etc.
Regular cleaning of exposed surfaces such as drink dispensers, door handles, card terminals, light switches, elevator buttons, etc.
We use effective chemicals that are kind to people and nature.
Serving food and drinks:
We have prepared measures and guidelines for handling food and beverage service.
There is a 1 meter distance between the tables in the restaurant.
Menu and drink list are available on QR code.
To avoid queues, there are markings on the floor.
Spices / ketchup bottles etc. are washed with disinfectant after use.
Tables/chairs are washed with disinfectant after use.
Here's what you can do to prevent infection:
Keep at least 1 meter distance to people who are not from your household
Avoid coughing or sneezing directly at others.
Cough into a paper handkerchief that you throw away. Then you must wash your hands.
If you don't have a paper handkerchief, you should cough into your elbow so that you don't spray droplets into the air.
You can also use a disinfectant that contains alcohol (antibac), if you do not have soap and water available.
Find alternatives to handshakes and clamps.
