Flåmsbrygga includes Flåmsbrygga Hotel - Bryggerihotellet, Ægir BrewPub, Furukroa Café, Flåmstova Restaurant , as well as meeting and function rooms. Flåmsbrygga is small and intimate with a distinctive style - both traditional and rustic, but at the same time modern and delicate.
Flåmsbrygga Hotel is Eco-Lighthouse certified. Our environmental strategy is to constantly identify opportunities to take measures to operate in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We adhere to strict requirements in areas such as working environment, purchasing, energy consumption, transportation, waste and emissions. This is for the benefit of our guests, employees, the local community and not least the fantastic surroundings in which the hotel is located.
We play an important role in the local community by being a safe workplace. Today, we have 35 full-year positions. Many of our employees started working with us as seasonal workers. After a while, they settled in the area and started their own families. This is important for our schools, public services within trade and health, as well as for our guests who get to experience a vibrant rural community.
We encourage our guests to travel sustainably - enjoy a thrilling train journey from Bergen or Oslo, before switching to the Flåm Railway. Enjoy a fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord aboard an all-electric boat, or travel by speedboat from Bergen. Many of the experiences and attractions in Flåm have little or no impact on the environment and climate. Flåm and the surrounding area are also ideal for hiking or cycling.
Ægir is our own brewery that produces a wide range of handcrafted beer, gin, vodka and mead. Our products, brewed with the freshest mountain water, have won several international awards. Our food philosophy is that there should be Ægir beer in and with the food. Our signature dish Ægir Vikingplanke, a unique 5-course beer and food menu, is a good example of this. We work closely with local farmers and producers, and our menu includes fish, several types of cheese, vegetables and seasonal berries. Many of our ingredients also come from the School of Agriculture and Horticulture in Aurland, as well as Haugen Farm in Flåm. We have vegetarian and vegan dishes on our menus.
