As a family-owned tourism venture with hotels, restaurants and apartments in both Flåm and Aurland we want to contribute to a better world.

Our environmental strategy is to constantly map out opportunities to take measures to operate in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We adhere to strict requirements within, among other things, the working environment, purchasing, energy consumption, transport, waste and emissions. This is for the benefit of our guests, employees, the local community and not least the fantastic surroundings in which the hotel is located.

We play an important role in the local community by being a safe workplace. Today we have 50 full-time positions. Many of our employees started working for us as seasonal workers. After a while they settled in the area and started their own families. It is important for our schools, public services in commerce and health, in addition to our guests who get to experience a vibrant rural community.

We encourage our guests to travel sustainably - enjoy an exciting train journey from Bergen or Oslo, before switching to the Flåm Railway. Enjoy a fjord cruise on the Nærøyfjord aboard an all-electric boat, or travel by express boat from Bergen. Several of the experiences and attractions in Flåm have little or no environmental and climate impact. Flåm and the surrounding area are also ideal for hiking or cycling.
